SUNBURY – Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) invites the public to attend a meeting on Monday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m., about the Shikellamy State Park Complex’s marina and boating schedule for the 2017 season. The meeting will take place at the Degenstein Community Library, located at 40 South Fifth St., in Sunbury.

Shikellamy State Park Manager John Clifford will join Culver at this meeting to provide an overview about the 2017 boating season schedule, the dam replacement project schedule, an update about the marina building and the progress of Kury Point.

“Department of Conservation and Natural Resources personnel will be replacing bags on the dam this year, and that will cause changes to the boating season,” Culver said. “In addition to those details, I want to give residents an opportunity to hear about what is happening at the Shikellamy State Park, as it is a popular boating, recreation and picnic location for many during the warmer months. I encourage those with questions or suggestions to bring them to the meeting.”

Culver and Clifford will be available before and after the meeting to answer any related questions about the state park.

For more information about this public meeting, or any other state-related issue, contact Culver’s district office in Sunbury located at 106 Arch St., by calling 570-286-5885, or toll-free at 1-800-924-9060. Information can also be found online at LyndaCulver.com or Facebook.com/RepCulver.
