HARRISBURG – State Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) is reminding veterans who are residents of the 108th Legislative District about the monthly outreach event she continues to offer to them.

“American Legion Department Service Officer Bill McGovern, who was a member of the United States Air Force for 22 years, meets virtually with veterans or families of veterans on the third Tuesday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in my Sunbury district office,” Culver said. “He’s available to discuss anything from starting the process of securing benefits to programs and services for which veterans may be eligible.”

Anyone wishing to meet with McGovern should call Culver’s office at 1-570-286-5885 or 1-800-924-9060 to reserve an appointment. The office is located at 106 Arch Street.

“Veterans can even take the time to simply review their current benefits in order to ensure they are maximizing what they’ve earned and deserve for serving our country,” added Culver.

McGovern’s next scheduled virtual visit to Culver’s office is set for Tuesday, Feb. 15.

The 108th District consists of the Northumberland County City of Sunbury; the boroughs of Herndon, McEwensville, Milton, Northumberland, Riverside, Snydertown, Turbotville, and Watsontown; and the townships of Delaware, East Chillisquaque, Jackson, Lewis, Little Mahanoy, Lower Augusta, Lower Mahanoy, Point, Rockefeller, Rush, Turbot, Upper Augusta and West Chillisquaque; and in Snyder County, the boroughs of Freeburg and Shamokin Dam; and the townships of Chapman, Monroe, Union and Washington.
